#1. Stick to a routine.
On a Sunday night, do you try to force yourself to go to bed at 9 PM, even though you’ve been going to bed at 11 PM or 12 AM all weekend long? If so, you’re not likely to be successful. The more consistent your sleep schedule is, the more your body will get used to it, making it a lot easier to fall asleep and to wake up.
#2. Avoid caffeine in the afternoons and evenings.
Many people think that there’s no problem with drinking tea or coffee after dinner, especially if they aren’t going to bed for a few hours. However, caffeine sticks around in your system for a lot longer than most people think; it can take hours to completely wear off. Make sure that you are only drinking caffeine in the mornings.
